Scrambled Again

Scrambled Again

Hot as eggs in the sun

Bobbie’s “flashes” have begun

Will she scramble

Will she boil

Turning red

A crimson royal

Usually Perky

Full of life

Her baby flashes bring on strife

We try to cool her

Give her Slice

We speak of winter

Give her ice

Although momentary

And quick to pass

She feels her best

Without the “red rash”

1997

For a friend and co-worker at As We Change experiencing Menopause
and the dreaded “hot flash”.
