A Mooi J. Kooter Painting

A Mooi J. Kooter Painting

I place myself into a painting

My face like milk

My body coal

To sit amongst the waves of colour

And let them wash across my soul

For safe upon the canvas surface

I can hide away the day

And blend into the world of artists

Who view me in another way

Do you see me in my plumage?

Tight in black with eyes of blue

Let me live here as a paint stroke

Quietly looking back at you

Written while gazing into a promo card of a painting I got from a Contemporary Art Show in Amsterdam.  I love art as it can represent something different to every patron.
